Systematic review reports morbidity and functional outcomes following nail gun injury in construction workers, highlighting sparse clinical data on structural trauma.
Background: Nail gun injuries to the hand are a common encounter amongst those in the construction industry and a frequent presentation to the emergency department. Despite the large number of nail gun injuries occurring daily, there are few reports on the impact of nail gun trauma to structures such as nerves, vessels, tendons and bone at the hand and wrist. A systematic review was conducted to analyse morbidity and functional outcomes following nail gun injuries to the hand.
