The application of mathematical models to optimise logistics flows in food supply chains is considered. The methods of linear, integer and stochastic programming, graph theory and heuristic algorithms used for flow allocation, transport routing, warehouse location and inventory management are covered. Examples of well-known software products that use mathematical models and algorithms to solve transport routing problems with time and resource constraints are given. Prospects for the development of models taking into account dynamic factors, multi-criteria optimisation and integration with the latest technologies are outlined
