The purpose of this study was to testify to the sequential mediating effects of interpersonal trauma experience and distress tolerance between traumatized self-system and relationship addiction. 337 college students (143 males, 194 females 194; aged 19-24) participated. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 26.0 and SPSS PROCESS Macro Model 6. The results were as follows. First, traumatized self-system, relationship addiction, and interpersonal trauma were positively correlated, and distress tolerance negatively correlated with them. Second, the mediating effect of interpersonal trauma between traumatized self-system and relationship addiction was not statistically significant. Third, the partial mediating effect of distress tolerance between them was statistically significant. Fourth, the partial sequential mediating effects of interpersonal trauma and distress tolerance were statistically significant between them. It tried to study the relationship addiction to provide basic data for developing and practicing tailored psychological interventions for college students with addictive relationship problems. The limitations and future tasks were discussed.
