Abstract

Online and smart learning are being rapidly applied to domestic universities and various educational sites due to the spread of the new coronavirus. This study applied an online international cooperation program based on cooperative learning based on the needs of the times for educational change, current social demands, and the need for convergence of education and technology. We also looked at what effect this program could have on Chinese language education and intercultural competency.The main research goals of this study are as follows. First, in order to learn Chinese and develop intercultural competency, we will experiment and operate a teaching model that allows for international cooperative learning with Chinese educational institutions. Second, we analyze the results of actual application of a Chinese language and intercultural education program based on online international cooperative learning. In order to explore the impact of the program on learners, we investigate and analyze the effects of the participants' intercultural communication skills and affective areas.
