Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of physical self-efficacy on health promotion behavior and quality of life among participants in recreational sports.BR Method: Data were collected from 260 sports participants across five regions in South Korea - Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Chungcheong, and Jeolla - using convenience sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS 22.0 program, which involved techniques such as frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis.BR Results: The research results are as follows. First, the physical self-efficacy of recreational sports participants was found to partially affect health promotion behaviors. Second, the physical self-efficacy of recreational sports participants was found to partially affect their quality of life. Third, the health-promoting behaviors of recreational sports participants were found to partially affect quality of life.BR Conclusion: The results suggest that enhancing physical self-efficacy in recreational sports participants can lead to improvements in health promotion behaviors and quality of life. This underscores the importance of interventions aimed at boosting physical self-efficacy to foster better health outcomes and enhanced well-being.
