To identify its strengths and look for ways to improve it, this study will examine the curriculum of the Department of Computer Education at Korea National University of Education, which prepares pre-service information computer teachers.The goal is to help these teachers become more proficient in digital competency.For this purpose, the major curriculum of the Department of Computer Education at Korea National University of Education over the past 10 years were analyzed.The research results are as follows: First, in the field of curriculum pedagogy, there was no change in the courses offered.However, in the field of curriculum content, changes in the courses offered could be observed as the years progressed.Second, to develop digital competency, it is necessary to introduce a course that combines curriculum pedagogy and curriculum content studies.Third, it is necessary to operate the curriculum to ensure that practical teaching methods are available.Fourth, to enhance digital competency, education through new platforms such as Metaverse and OTT is needed.According to the results of this study, the following improvements are suggested to strengthen the digital competency of pre-service information computer teachers: Various subjects to strengthen digital competency must be organized and operated in the curriculum.It is necessary to establish a digital literacy-related curriculum that can be integrated with other subjects to develop digital competency.It is necessary to ensure that pre-service teachers' digital utilization competency is applied to teaching and learning.
