This paper deals with the performance analysis of a Minkowski PIFA antenna with different feed positions for 5G femtocell applications. The antenna is designed on a Rogers RT Duriod 5880 substrate with a thickness of (0.02") 0.508mm and a dielectric constant of 2.33. With this substrate, a high gain for the antenna is achieved with good return loss and efficiency. The proposed patch with a Minkowski fractal structure is placed 0.506mm above the substrate, which works as a Planar Inverted F-shaped Antenna. According to the values obtained at various feed positions, the port3 feed position is the best for this type of antenna. The 28GHz port3 input position resonates at a gain of 8.17dB and a return loss of -21.08dB, resulting in an efficiency of 100%. For 5G bands, femtocell base stations are often compact. This characteristic qualifies it as a millimeter wave band suitable for implementation in 5G Femtocells.
