The next generation (5G) of wireless communication technologies will not only support the projected 1,000-fold increase in internet usage over the next ten years, but they will also provide the technical foundation for the vast Internet in Everything (IoE) network. Unlike its predecessors, 5G is more widely applicable even if it has a more complex system architecture. Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a more competitive option that can outperform traditional methods in terms of idea generation and performance. This thorough review dives into the identification, assessment, and investigation of interesting research avenues where artificial intelligence (AI) might make a major contribution to the progress of 5G. With a thorough grasp of the core concepts of 5G, the article carefully examines important AI applications. In addition, it explores the formulation of design frameworks for 5G network optimisation, optimum resource distribution, unified 5G physical layer acceleration, and end-to-end material layer joint optimisation. Through the synthesis of these components, this work seeks to map out a route towards a representation devoid of plagiarism that captures the complex relationship between 5G technology & the revolutionary potential of machine intelligence.
