This manuscript presents a novel bidirectional multitier converter designed specifically for electric vehicles (EV s). Featuring an advanced sophisticated multitier DC-DC converter featuring an unparalleled DC link capacitor voltage configuration equilibrium mechanism, this design operates bidirectionally with minimal components, ensuring consistent voltage distribution across the T -type Multitier Inverter () capacitor, even under fault conditions. Noteworthy for eliminating the need for auxiliary sensors, complex control loops, or specialized switching patterns, the converter achieves high-frequency voltage equilibrium between Cn and Cp. By substituting bulky electrolytic capacitors with durable film capacitors, there is a notable 20% reduction in size and weight, enhancing spatial efficiency in the EV chassis and potentially increasing the overall energy storage capacity of the battery. Validation is performed using MATLAB/Simulink simulation and a 1 kW laboratory prototype, affirming the efficiency, dependability, and compactness of this bidirectional multitier converter for EV applications.
