Satellite images can be degraded during image collection by poor atmosphere and transmission. Noise removal from satellite images is a crucial duty in remote sensing and image processing. Conventional denoising methods can remove the noise but cannot maintain the image quality and cause excessive edge blurring. In order to avoid these problems, this paper introduces a novel approach HHO - Harris Hawks optimized a bilateral filter for noise removal of satellite images and also preserved edge information. A bilateral filter needs to control the parameters for denoising the satellite images. Utilizing different optimization techniques to obtain optimal performance need to control the parameters in the bilateral filter. Evaluating the performance, like mean squared error (MSE) and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). Comparative analyses with existing noise removal methods showcase the efficacy of the bilateral filter in maintaining image quality and preserving edge information while effectively reducing noise.
