The microwave bandpass filter is a critical component in any communication chain; it acts as a bridge between the antenna and the transmitting or receiving unit. Current microwave bandpass filters must meet a number of requirements, including good electrical performance, small size, compactness, and low cost. This paper proposes a miniature microwave bandpass filter utilizing planar technology. The proposed structure is built on the top face of a low-price FR4 substrate. The simulation results demonstrate good electrical performance, such as low reflection coefficient S <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">11</inf> for both resonant frequencies, low insertion loss S <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">21</inf> , and good band rejection, indicating the suitability to integrate the bandpass filter into small electronic devices operating in the frequency range of (3.3GHz-4.2GHz) for 5G mid-band applications.
