the subject of this contribution is a circular patch antenna designed for mm-wave applications and specifically for wireless networking devices coming under IEEE standards such as IOT and mobile devices; the antenna has been constructed using a partial ground made of copper as to enlarge the antenna band. In addition, a metamaterial cell was etched on the patch's ground to obtain the desired frequencies. A parametric study was done on the placement of the rings to obtain the resonant frequencies of 26 GHz and 39 GHz; at the end, the proposed antenna showed promising results of approximately 10 GHz of band and a low reflection coefficient at the resonant frequencies. These results were obtained by simulating the proposed antenna using CST software 2018.
