A social network is a platform for creating profiles to build relationships with other members, form groups of common interests and exchange. It makes dialogues or conversations possible, in a controlled and organized setting, without the physical constraints of proximity and timing. Our focus lies in exploring the utilization of social networks within the realm of education. Educational social networks offer several synchronous and asynchronous collaboration tools that help students to learn and collaborate with other students who are from different geographical areas. However, these systems suffer from several problems such as learners' lack of support during their learning sessions. The objective of this work is to develop an educational social network that aims to provide automatic assistance to the students based on filtering their profiles and recommending experts and relevant resources.
