AA is associated with chronic inflammatory diseases (cid+AA), autoinflammatory syndromes (auto+AA) or AA of unknown origin or idiopathic AA (idio+AA). The major organ manifestation is renal AA that can progress to end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and multiple organ failure.
