The main aim of the article is to research the essence of the concept of "innovation in education", the main approaches to the development of innovation processes in education. Thus, types of innovations in education, stages of their introduction and realization, their influence on teaching and learning methods and thinking styles of teachers and students, their role in improving the quality of education, training of teaching staff with high level, excellent knowledge, advantages of training based on innovative methods over traditional training are revealed.
