Feasibility Analysis of Hybrid Renewable Energy System for Power Generation in Pakistan

Abstract In recent years power output from natural energy resources has increased dramatically. Mostly, wind and solar photovoltaicenergy have gotten more attention because they are more established technologies. Jamshoro is the city of Sindh whose geographic location provides sufficient renewable energy resources, enabling it to generate electricity without the need for fossil fuels. This study examines the feasibility of hybrid renewable energy sources to generate electricity by using 6 kW of wind, 4 kW of solar, and required battery backup bank. The simulation of this system is done using SAM software. This system is designed for 25-year project lifecycle. The study's findings indicate that the project's two main issues will be the cost of the solar photovoltaic modules and wind turbine generator.
