Introduction At the HNO-University Clinic of Dresden, postoperative courses are recorded, documented and evaluated by means of a prospective registration in a register for all otoplasty operations. With the help of this register, the course of events can be viewed dynamically and prognoses can be made about the frequency and temporal course of complications. The aim of this study was to investigate whether the Middle Ear Risk Index (MERI) risk score can predict the occurrence of postoperative complications.
