Intraoperative position monitoring using Cochlear™ SmartNav during implantation of the Cochlear™ Nucleus®​ Profile Plus with Slim Modiolar Electrode (CI632)

Introduction The risk of tip fold-over during insertion of the Slim Modiolar electrode from Cochlear is well known. 3D radiological control procedures are not available in the operating room in all CI clinics and are therefore performed postoperatively. A reliable possibility of intraoperative electrophysiological position control would be desirable. In this user study, the Cochlear™ SmartNav system was used for intraoperative position control.
