Systemic bevacizumab therapy for recurrent laryngeal papillomatosis – a case report

Introduction Recurrent laryngeal papillomatosis (RLP) is a rare disease characterized by the occurrence of benign tumours (papillomas) in the larynx. A distinction is made between an adult and a juvenile form. The symptoms can range from mild voice problems to severe breathing difficulties. The exact cause of the recurrent growth of papillomas is not yet fully understood, but it is assumed that an impaired immune response against the human papilloma virus (HPV) plays a crucial role.
