The article presents the experience of training specialists in the medical and preventive profile for the bodies and institutions of Rospotrebnadzor of the Far Eastern Federal District on the basis of a single educational, scientific and industrial complex, the successful operation of which occurred in the period 1992–2004. A number of government agencies and organizations, universities, research institutes of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences were involved in the work and participation in the complex. Based on the results of joint work, scientific and practical works were published, Health programs were developed for the territories of the Far Eastern region and individual enterprises of the leading branches of the military-industrial complex, shipbuilding, ship repair, instrumentation, light industry, construction industry, chemical industry, transport. All published documents and programs had practical significance, were implemented, and gave invaluable results in improving the health indicators of working contingents.
