Russian Civil Law in the Age of Ancient Rus

The article represents a description of the civil law of the Ancient Rus’ on the basis of the norms of the Russkaya Pravda and other sources of the ancient Russian law. The author reviews such institutions of civil law as its subjects, objects of property rights, the right of ownership, its acquisition and termination, forms of transactions, types of contracts, ways to ensure the fulfillment of obligations.
