Effective Direction of Arrival (DOA) systems are dependent on accurately capturing phase measurements from the received signals at the antennas, which is crucial for their high-performance functioning. This paper presents an implemented low-cost and accurate directional finder radar for RF detection. The proposed system utilizes a two-element uniform linear array, with each element being a directive Vivaldi antenna. The FMCOMMS2 and ZedBoard platform is employed for crafting the Direction of Arrival (DOA) estimation system., operating in the L band. By transitioning from traditional omnidirectional antennas to Vivaldi antennas, the system achieves improved accuracy and reduced interference in directional arrival detection for radio communication systems and employs the minimum number of channels. The system demonstrates the capability to estimate Direction of Arrival (DOA) angles with an RMS error of approximately 1.95°.
