The design involves the generation of electromagnetic (EM) radiations from a holographic reflectarray utilizing dielectric perforated metamaterial based on the reactance distribution. The design incorporates the computation of surface impedance by varying the radius of the holes in the dielectric perforated material. The unit-cell elements of the reflectarray are composed of perforated dielectric material. A 51 × 51 holographic reflectarray has been considered at 6GHz. Various focal-to-diameter ratios are examined to achieve optimal gain and minimal side lobe levels. The obtained peak gain is approximately 22.5dBi, accompanied by a sidelobe level of 13 ~dB and a halfpower beamwidth of 6.5° degrees. The orientation of the main beam during 1D or 2D scans can be manipulated using holographic metamaterials with diverse interference patterns. Full-wave simulation results are obtained using Microwave Studio CST software.
