Experimental study demonstrates octave-spanning supercontinuum generation in an AlGaAs-on-insulator waveguide, highlighting broad spectral coverage.
We have successfully generated a supercontinuum light in an AlGaAs-on-insulator waveguide. By using a 2000-nm-band pulse source and utilizing second-harmonic generation, we achieved a more than 1.2-octave bandwidth from 881 to 2149 nm.
