The hybrid algorithm of the method of moments (MoM) and the physical optics (PO) method combines the advantages of high-frequency algorithm and low-frequency algorithm. A critical step in the hybrid algorithm is the rapid determination of whether the PO elements are illuminated. Traditional occlusion judgement algorithms, which consider the mutual occlusion between any two patches, are computationally intensive. In this study, we use OpenGL, a versatile API compatible across different programming languages and platforms, to accelerate this process. By employing OpenGL, the PO occlusion judgement process in the hybrid algorithm has been significantly expedited, thereby ensuring accuracy while improving computational efficiency.
