In this paper, a guided-mode resonant filter (GMRF) is proposed, whose resonant wavelength can be tuned by adjusting the gap of the GMRF. On this basis, the surface acoustic wave (SAW) generated by nanosecond laser pulse is used to tune the resonant wavelength of the GMRF. Numerical simulation results based on the finite element method (FEM) show that the central wavelength of guided-mode resonance (GMR) can be scanned from 988.9 nm to 1006.5 nm in a time span of 130 ns. Our work has potential applications in optical coherent tomography, time-domain multispectral imaging, and the design of scanning frequency light sources.
