Privacy preserving computing (PPC) allows participants with different local data to do computations without revealing their sensitive data. Hence, ensuring data security and privacy is essential for PPC. SM9 is a Chinese national standard and international standard for identity-based encryption (IBE). Compared to other IBE schemes, SM9 has better performance. At present, there is no proxy re-encryption scheme based on SM9 available for data sharing scenarios in cloud environments. In this paper, we introduce a novel data sharing framework called SM9-PRE, which is based on a new proxy re-encryption scheme using SM9. Our framework allows participants to outsource and to share data through the cloud fluently without revealing any information of the data to the cloud. We conducted a series of experiments on our framework, and the experimental results showed that our framework is more efficient and practical than previous ones.
