From April to September 2023 oothecae of the cockroaches Shelfordela lateralis Walker and Periplaneta americana Linnaeus were obtained from sewage and sewer manholes, outdoor an indoor households in Coahuila and Durango, Mexico. Morphometric characteristics and molecular analysis determined the parasitoid adult wasp specie found emerging from oothecae was Evania appendigaster Linnaeus (ensign wasp). This is a new register of the wasp parasitizing S. lateralis and P. americana in Coahuila and Durango, Mexico.
