Research on the Rationalization of Field Commissioning for Multi-terminal HVDC Projects-Taking Three Years Operation of Kunliulong UHVDC project

Kunliulong DC project is a national UHV multi-terminal DC demonstration project and the first UHV flexible DC project in the world. The construction of Kunliulong DC project is an important measure to implement the strategy of west-east power transmission and promote the consumption of clean energy. The project transmit the numerous hydro electricity from Yunnan to Guangdong and Guangxi. Keeping these HVDC projects stabilized operating is important to the whole power grid. Different from Alternate Current(AC) transmission projects, 78% of debugging and checking work for HVDC devices is proceeding before being service as estimated, the commission work actually. The Kunliulong UHVDC project has been put into service 3 years. The multi-terminal project keeps operating normally after well designed field commission. However there is still some hardship to cover all the defeat we need to know. The paper analyzed the typical defeat uncovered and provide promotion recommendation for field commission, and conclude that the uncover part can be classified as 2 kinds: the factor range of single failure and the comprehensive react when single failure.
