An approach to design robust tracking controllers for non-linear systems is proposed. The method involves solving a non-linear open-loop optimal control problem that establishes the nominal tracking behaviour, followed by the design of a feedback controller that robustly stabilises the system around the optimal state trajectory. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is shown on a non-linear quadrupletank system model subject to parametric uncertainties.
