Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is one of the important sensors in Internet of Things, and has become an indispensable tool in our daily life due to its portability, mobility and operability. UAVs are usually used in intelligent performance, intelligent cruise and intelligent monitoring. While in the area of intelligent surveillance systems, person re-identification (Re-ID) is one of the key technologies. Combining Re-ID system with UAV system is the trend of future development. In this paper, we mainly analyze the problem faced by using Re-ID in UAV system, and give the critical future directions in this area.
