We have developed and analyzed a triple-band slotted trapezoidal shape patch antenna with a focus on compact dimensions (36 mm × 36 mm × 1.6 mm). This antenna operates across triple resonant microwave frequency bands to cater to diverse wireless applications, including Mobile Broadband Wireless Access (MBWA) protocols based on standards specifications such as IEEE 802.20 (1.6–2.3 GHz), WiMAX (3.02–4.68 GHz), WLAN (5.8 GHz), IoT protocol ISM band (4.33 GHz) and X-band (5.10-15.22 GHz). The design features a slotted trapezoidal-shaped radiating patch and a trapezoidal-shaped partial ground section implemented on an FR-4 dielectric substrate material. The antenna successfully achieves the multi-band configuration, supported by simulated results demonstrating favorable return loss, radiation patterns, gain, and radiation efficiency. The stability of the simulated results is maintained across the achieved resonating modes
