The small Davenport constant [Formula: see text] of a finite group [Formula: see text] is defined to be the maximal length of a sequence over [Formula: see text] which has no nontrivial product-one subsequence. In this paper, we prove that [Formula: see text] for the non-abelian group of order [Formula: see text] and exponent [Formula: see text] and thereby establish a conjecture by Gao and Zhuang for this group.
