It is crucial to preserve these resources and safeguard the environment as natural resource depletion and detrimental environmental changes continue to accelerate globally. Industries involved in the production of plastic products must prioritize plastic recycling. There are several methods available for recycling plastics, and choosing the most suitable method involves complex decision-making variables. Therefore, the aim of the study is to select the optimal process for recycling plastics among several plastic recycling methods with help of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS). Through the analysis, the energy recovery process is determined to be the most effective method using this approach.
