Agriculture sustains a significant portion of India's population, yet climate change poses challenges, including reduced crop yields due to plant diseases, notably affecting banana crops. This paper proposes an innovative method for banana plant disease detection using image processing. High-resolution images of banana leaves are captured, and preprocessing techniques enhance image quality. Convolutional Neural Network algorithms, trained on a dataset of labeled images, detect and classify diseases. Evaluation metrics, including accuracy and confusion matrix, assess the system's performance, validated through comparative analysis and expert consultation. The proposed approach harnesses the power of CNNs to extract relevant features from banana leaf images, enabling accurate disease classification. This integrated system provides a valuable tool for farmers to swiftly identify and address diseases, ultimately fostering sustainable banana cultivation practices and ensuring food security.
