Effective customer service and call center operations require a holistic approach, combining technology, skilled personnel, and a commitment to continuous improvement. We need to regularly assess and adapt to changing customer needs and industry trends that are essential for long-term success. In a call center, the customer's waiting time, commonly denoted as "wait time" or "hold time". Mostly, the waiting time in a customer service queue is usually high and there is no call-back time proposed to the customer when the queue is full. This in turn leads to negative customer feedback and a loss of business. In the current world, the main objective of the various industries is to meet the needs of the customers to execute the business with them in alignment with the business proposals, and this requires multiple connections, especially phone support, which is quite convenient from both ends. Most of the time, customers have to wait in a long queue during the phone call as the existing systems often lack precision, leading to prolonged waiting times, decreased customer satisfaction, and operational inefficiencies. Also, the increase in businesses leads to the need for a customer-centric approach to provide time-sensitive support for customers. Therefore, there is a pressing need to develop a robust callback time prediction system that utilizes advanced algorithms and real-time data to forecast callback durations accurately. Customers value their time, and long hold times may result in a negative perception of the company's service. Implementing an effective call-back policy allows customers to continue with their activities while awaiting a return call. Hence, providing callback time helps to balance the load among agents, reducing the likelihood of extended wait times for specific customers. Offering call-back times can, in turn, provide customers with an alternative to waiting on hold for simple queries. Continuous monitoring of call center performance and customer feedback helps identify areas for improvement. This can lead to adjustments in staffing, processes, or technology to optimize wait times, and the call traffic management technology can provide the option for customers to request a call-back instead of waiting in a queue for a longer period of time. Predicting and providing the call-back time to the customers will help the business on a positive front and can welcome more customers, leading to better performance and a good reputation for the brand in the competitive world.
