A solution to the problems caused by data breaches in the production and distribution of power is provided by the smart grid framework's inclusion of the RC4 Cipher algorithm. Individual entities can produce and sell electricity under the smart grid paradigm, which creates traffic in data management. To overcome these difficulties, the RC4 algorithm is suggested as a way to securely encrypt smart grid data. RC4 encryption is used during data exchange to guarantee the confidentiality and integrity of the data. According to the architecture, RC4 Cipher encryption is used to secure data on all connected nodes that make up the smart grid. While complete nodes at distribution points verify data and guarantee effective electricity routing, light nodes at the consumer level enable individual electricity generation and data handling of the energy supply, expedite transactions, and offer a secure foundation for handling the complexity of smart grid management. RC4 use in smart grids is a revolutionary way to increase electrical security, efficiency, and transparency. The goal of this integration is to improve the security.
