This analysis demonstrates mode suppression of vibrations in thin plates with optimal control using piezoelectric actuators.
In this paper a method is proposed for active vibration control of a thin plate using piezoelectric actuators. Based on this method, a selected vibration mode of the plate can be suppressed by optimal control. Simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
