This method quantifies contact pressure and motion in ankle foot orthoses, highlighting design improvements.
We have developed a means to evaluate the contact pressure between a subject and an ankle - foot - orthosis (AFO), and the relative motion of sections of the AFO. This system will, for the first time, quantify the subject - AFO interaction, and form the basis for future design modifications and computer analyses.
