Acute interstitial nephritis (AIN) is an important cause of acute renal failure, the most common etiology of which is druginduced disease. The definitive diagnosis of AIN requires a renal biopsy. Despite this, there is a lack of consensus on precise histological diagnostic criteria, and the clinical significance of common histological findings remains uncertain. The main of this study was to explore the histological characteristics of AIN and evaluate their impact on renal prognosis.
