Background: Non-puerperal breast abscess (NPMA) is a condition characterized by localized accumulation of pus within the breast tissue, unrelated to breastfeeding. In contrast, to a lactational breast abscess that occur in breastfeeding women, NPMA can affect women of all ages and reproductive states. The causality between NPMN and diabetes mellitus 1 (DM1) is scarcely described in the current available medical literature. This case aims to aid in shedding light on NPMN as a preclinical symptom of DM1, early diagnosis, and optimizing management strategies for patients with NPMA.
