What’s racial literacy got to do with decolonising the curriculum? Non-Aboriginal teachers and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures

place now known as Australia (Gooda, 2012).By dialogues, I mean unstructured or semi-structured conversations with non-Aboriginal primary and secondary teachers and/or leaders across two sites.I am a third-generation White coloniser descendant born and raised on unceded Kaurna Yarta (Adelaide, South Australia).As a White educational researcher, how I understand race and racisms and my racialised position in relation to its ongoing impact is an essential step toward decolonisation 2 .I acknowledge the benefits and advantages I experience through ongoing colonialism and strive to work with cultural humility (Tervalon & Murray-Garcia, 1998).
