An Interpretation of Emily Dickinson's Death Poem Take Because I Could not Stop for Death as an Example

Emily Dickinson is one of the most outstanding and influential poets of the 19th century. Her poetry mainly depicts ordinary things of daily life, but with profound content and originality, particularly in exploring the issue of death, which is the most concerning topic for poets in the 20th century. Dickinson showed her strong concern for the value and meaning of life in her poems about death and immortality. Her attitude toward death and immortality developed throughout her life, and death stimulated her passion to transcend the limitations of life and pursue eternity.
