We have designed an extended‐gate thin‐film transistor (EG‐TFT) enzyme sensor for the detection of glucose. The device is composed of a surface‐modified microneedle working electrode incorporating glucose oxidase (GOx) and Prussian blue (PB) alongside a reference electrode. The electrodes are connected to the gate and source of a transistor, respectively. The TFT structure of the device has a bottom gate and an insulating layer which protects the active layer. This system can bring higher sensitivity variation to conventional sensors, while combining with TFT to realize a more stable, integrated and flexible platform. By combining with microneedles to detect glucose in interstitial fluids for minimally invasive medical testing, the system successfully verified that there are different transistor current variations for different glucose concentrations. This platform will ultimately help to open up endless possibilities for effective healthcare and accurate clinical decision making.
