Abstract

This paper proposes a science workshop in which children find the science around them by themselves, think about experiments, prepare experiments, imagine the results of experiments, and lead the results. This workshop is meaningful as a place to experience the fun of science and experimentation, as well as a place to collaborate with others. Science workshops emphasize the importance of developing an interest in science while enjoying scientific exploration and discovery. Workshop participants will acquire not only scientific knowledge and skills, but also creativity and logical thinking skills. A science experiment map and a science experiment compass were developed for the science workshop. The proposed workshop will enhance children's interest in science. The proposed workshop was conducted for elementary school students and is reported in this paper.
