Abstract

Scientific research skills are essential for all professions, yet they are not usually directly linked to school curricula. In this work, we have developed an educational model focused on the development of skills for scientific research to promote the culture of research in primary school children. For this, two work groups were formed: experimental and control. The classic teaching methods in Science and Technology were evaluated and contrasted with an innovative model based on scientific inquiry, observing that both are efficient. However, only the inquiry method offers meaningful and lasting learning, in addition to providing a socio-emotional impact on students.
