Taking the concept and properties of functions as the research object and classroom blank space as the research perspective, based on the Chinese People's Education A-version mathematics textbook and the national primary and secondary school smart education platform, this study conducted text analysis and usage analysis on them. Some research conclusions and inspirations were obtained: textbook blank space has rich forms, mainly problem oriented blank space. Teachers with higher teaching experience are better able to use textbooks reasonably, and the blank space time should be pre-set, Spend more time on the main issue and focus on leaving blank spaces in both time and content.
