The article presents the method of implementation of the course project "Landscape improvement of the territory of public facilities" using modern concepts of landscape design for students of architects. The authors emphasize the importance of the functional-planning and volume-spatial solution of the territory, as a recreational center for the spiritual, physical, and emotional restoration of visitors. It is noted that an important aspect is the combination of natural space around the public building, as well as filling with additional elements of the anthropogenic landscape, which complements the artistic image of the environment and comfortable conditions for people. When designing, the student solves the following compositional tasks - planning style, proportioning the territory, identifying the center of the composition, main and secondary axes, and large-scale characteristics of formative elements (small architectural forms, decorative sculpture, vegetation, etc.). Since today the landscape improvement of the territories of public facilities is an important component of the comprehensive rehabilitation of people injured during the war, emphasizes the importance of the planning of the composition of the territory, which should be related to the building and its functional purpose. In the presented example, the public building of the SPA center acts as a compositional center. The project proposal provides for the location of functionally similar zones in the complex, smoothly flowing into each other. Zones opposite in purpose are demarcated by a road for periodic passage and a supporting green wall. The main modern elements in the territory of the SPA center are modern small gardens on a given theme. When designing the improvement of the territory of a public building, special attention is paid to visual details. They change the perception of space.
