A model of rational management of the aerodynamic environment in a pulverized coal boiler with different orientation of the combustion chamber air flow from the tail-end fuel feeding section was investigated. The study determined the optimal spatial parameters of the tail-end fuel feeding section and fuel consumption characteristics for different types of burners. These results helped to significantly reduce the risk of accidents caused by ineffective work of the tail-end fuel air flow control devices.
