Based on the principles of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), a practical method for assessing the disaster response capability of power grids is proposed. The disaster response of power grids is divided into three stages: Pre-Disaster Prevention Stage, In-Disaster Protection Stage, and Post-Disaster Recovery Stage. Ten assessment indicators are proposed for each stage, establishing a multi-level comprehensive evaluation system. This method facilitates the estimation of losses during disasters and allows for a direct comparison and evaluation of disaster response capabilities among power supply bureaus. It analyzes the performance of each bureau in disaster response, identifies weaknesses, and proposes targeted reinforcement measures. Combining with the typhoon disaster situations faced by Guangxi Power Grid in China, this practical method is used to calculate the disaster response capability scores and evaluate the performance of each power supply bureau.
